With Option 3, the Years to Enrollment Portfolios, your contributions are invested in a series of portfolios that shift from equity mutual funds to bond and money market funds as the beneficiary approaches an expected enrollment date. These portfolios are identical to portfolios 3 through 7 in the Age-Based option.
The Years to Enrollment option may be appropriate for older children or adults planning to further their education. Remember, adults can open a Scholars Choice account for themselves.
